![]() It’s always quiet the final hour before Grillby closes the bar. ask anon sinning yandere bad times nothing explicit happening or implied but you did just get kidnapped undertale sans papyrus toriel you’re friends forever now kidnapping violence let me know if anything else should be tagged reader insert You can’t even argue because the magic puts so much pressure on your lungs that you’re lucky you can draw breath.Īll you can do is watch as your goal slips farther and farther away from you and the ghoulish glow of Sans’ eye socket as he languidly follows after you. But with the blue magic still weighing heavy over your body and soul, you can’t so much as struggle as Papyrus happily carries you away. He’s already going on about something… Something about how you’ve come so far and you’re so brave but friends do not let friends throw their lives away and this is for your own good and they’ve redecorated the garage to be much more accommodating for you. This is why you don’t see Papyrus before he lifts you up and tosses you over his shoulder in an effortless motion that has your stomach twisting. You can’t so much as lift your neck to turn your head. The shock of the attack alone would have been enough to floor you, as unexpected as it came, but the magic keeps you from getting back to your feet as gravity forces your chest to the golden tiles as effectively as a heavy foot against your back. What you don’t expect is the heavy weight of blue magic as it forces you to the ground. Just one more challenge and you can finally, finally go home. It’s the end game the reason you’ve gone through all this trouble in the first place. Everything about this moment feels so final. You think it might be for dramatic purposes. There’s something grave about his expression, something startlingly serious that you have come to not expect from him. His tone is different than it has been any other time he’s spoken to you. And at the very end of the hall, stands Sans. You’re walking down a golden hallway with large columns and high ceilings. You face the many dangers of Waterfall and Hotland and you’re well on your way to facing Asgore once and for all. ![]() It just feels so nice to know that, even when you are so far away from everything you have ever known, no matter what you might face, you are not in this alone. And you see Sans nearly everywhere you go though it’s always such a relief to see a friendly face that you never really stop to consider why you see him everywhere. He’s lovable and sweet and just doesn’t have much of a grasp on the concept of personal boundaries. You don’t think much of it when Papyrus calls you again and again on the phone, sometimes within minutes of the last call. They’re already so odd that you don’t take notice of their weird behavior as anything abnormal. He was trying to capture your soul for the king, but he apologized so it’s water under the bridge now. Still, they are endearing, even if Papyrus beats you within an inch of your life and throws you in his garage on more than one occasion. Sans says so little about himself even when you ask directly and Papyrus says so much about himself without any prompting that it’s hard to determine the truth behind the delusions of grandeur and the image he wants to project. It’s hard to get a good read of their characters, their intentions. Papyrus is energetic and either the most selfless or self-centered person you’ve ever met. Sans is laidback and either hilarious or hard to stomach, depending on how well you can handle puns and fart jokes. A couple of skeletons one who doesn’t seem to care at all that you’re a human and the other seems to care a little too much. There are only two monsters who seem to recognize you for what you are. ![]() While traveling along the snowy banks just outside the ruins, you discover most monsters haven’t seen humans for so long they don’t remember what they’re supposed to look like. You cross through the door out the ruins and Toriel locks it behind you. You depart with a spare cloak, a freshly baked pie, and the promise to never return. When you tell Toriel of your intentions, she warns you, but does not stop you. ![]() But then you remember the monsters who attacked you in the ruins and the whispers of needing just one more human soul and you are neither young nor naive enough to believe you will truly be safe as long as you are down here. Maybe, if you were less determined, you would be content to live out the rest of your days in the cozy home with Toriel, eating snail pies and reading books by the light of fire magic. Waking up in the Underground might be the most terrifying thing you’ve ever experienced.Ĭertainly, it’s not without its charms. ![]()
